We are herewith sending the Cartography projects which we have been executed recently. We have successfully completed many 3D cartographic projects of different scales (1:500, 1:1000, 1:2000, 1:5000, 1:10000) from various sensors like Aerial Frame, Digital, ADS40 and Satellite sensors. Digital Cartographic rules and systematic in-house quality check procedure have been followed while making these maps in order to meet the client specifications. We have produced multi-scale maps for various purposes and with content from different countries and communities.

These sample maps demonstrate our (AAMGST) mapping capabilities in 3D Cartography. Please find the details of sample projects and maps as mentioned below.

Large Scale - Corridor Map
Map scale : 1:500 contour interval = 0.5m
Area : 215.12 ha Camera used ZI


Objective : The main objective of this corridor project is for estimation work in transportation. We have compiled cartographic features like contours at 0.5m interval and each and every detail available in project area.

Description :

  1. Project setup has been done by using provided input orientation parameters and images.
  2. Control points have been verified in stereo before start of stereo compilation.
  3. Feature catalogue (menu) has been prepared as per the required features.
  4. All the cartographic elements have been captured as per the features list and cartographic rules also been followed while in compilation of carto data.
  5. Systematic quality check procedure has been followed in finalization cartographic data.
  6. Orthophoto also been generated using terrain elements for the same area with GSD of 10 cm.

Large Scale - Urban Map
Map scale : 1:1000 contour interval 1.0 m
Area : 2100 ha Camera RMK top 30

Objective : The main purpose of this project is to generate the digital cartographic data for six different sectors. Contours have been compiled at interval of 1m and other cartographic features in project area have been restituted and digital data base has been generated.

Description :

  1. Provided Aerial images have been triangulated using the ground control points and GPS/INS in Inpho’s software (Match AT).
  2. Feature catalogue (menu) has been prepared as per the required features.
  3. Cartographic elements have been compiled as per the features list at a map scale of 1:1000 and cartographic rules also been followed while in compilation of cartographic data.
  4. Systematic quality check procedure has been followed in finalization cartographic data.

Large Scale - Coastal Map
Map scale : 1:2000
contour interval : 2.0 m
Area : 16984.5 ha
Sensor : ADS40

Objective : The main purpose of this project is to generate the digital cartographic data for whole project area which includes urban and coastal area.

Description :

  1. Triangulation results of ADS40 images have been imported in to the stereo workstation and project setup has been done. Cartography has been done in two phases first one is urban area and then rural areas.
  2. Each and every building has been captured without eaves. Every building has been inserted two elevation points one at eaves height and other at its ground height.
  3. We have prepared a feature catalogue for easy compilation purpose. We have been following a systematic production process and as well as in house developed quality programmes.
  4. We also been providing a facility to the client and he can verify the project progress online.

Small Scale - Urban Map

Objective : The main purpose of this project is to generate the digital cartographic data for whole project area which includes urban, rural and coastal area.

Description :

  1. Project setup has been done by importing the triangulation results. Cartography has been done in six phases. Each and every area is mix of both urban and rural. Each and every building outlines has been captured.
  2. Streams and vegetation canopy has been restituted with the help of feature catalogue prepared as per the specifications. We have been following a systematic production process and as well as in house developed quality programmers.
  3. We also been providing a facility to the client and he can verify the project progress online.

Medium Scale - Rural Map

Objective : The main purpose of this project is to generate the digital Topographic map from photogrammetrically compiled 3D data for whole project area which includes urban and rural.

Description :

  1. Project setup has been made by using provided triangulation results. All the required cartographic elements have been restituted and symbology has been assigned.
  2. We have prepared a features catalogue and compiled features like roads, building, vegetation, streams and other utilities. Edition data (street names, river names, village names etc.) has been added to final data by using client provided Old Toposheets.
  3. Systematic production process and quality check procedures have been followed in each and every stage of project execution. We have macros to check the quality of data at different stages.
  4. We also been providing a facility to the client and he can verify the project progress online.

From Satellite Imagery
Map scale : 1:5000
contour interval : 10.0 m
Area : 34203.6 ha

Objective : The main purpose of Stereo compilation using WorldView1 satellite images is obstacle forecast around airport area and Orthophoto generation.

Description :

  1. Stereo pair images have triangulated using the software.
  2. Cartographical elements have been mapped (compiled) as per map scale 1:10000 and specification.
  3. The feature like roads, buildings, electrical towers, spot heights and contours were captured.
  4. After the production of cartography through quality check has been done. Orthophoto has been generated using terrain elements as DEM.

Small Scale - Hydrography
Map scale : 1: 10000

Objective : Digital cartographic data generation from digital aerial images using stereo compilation method.

Description :

  1. Project setup has been done using triangulation results.
  2. Cartographical elements have been compiled as per map scale 1:5000 and specifications. Cartographic rules have been followed while in data capture and quality has been verified.
  3. We have our own quality programs and feature catalog preparation methods.

Airport Mapping
Map scale : 1: 5000
contour interval : 5.0 m
Area : 175 km2
Six GeoEye stereo pairs

Objective : 3D Cartography updating around Airport in order to indentify the obstacles for the planes approximation and DSM generation by incorporation of building data.

Description :

  1. Updating of whole project area and DSM generation and Editing. To indentify the obstacles for the planes approximation. All the features have been updated as per the specification.
  2. DSM has been generated using auto correlation at 5m resolution and the accuracy required for DSM editing is 2m.
  3. Six stereo pairs have been oriented by triangulation in Leica Photogrammetry suite and achieved an accuracy of 0.2m in Block adjustment.
  4. Cartographic elements have been restituted as per the specifications.
  5. DSM has been generated and Edited in LiDAR extraction and editor modules.
  6. Orthophotos have been generated and color balanced.
  7. Final ortho mosaic tiles have been generated.
  8. Final DSM out put has been generated by incorporating the building data.
  9. Final DSM has been delivered in GeoTIFF format
